I just wanted to know so that I could email you and tell you this, but since you think it's so funny, truth is I don't really care who you are, I just want you to know how much that comment ticked me off. Do you know how much guilt comes with buying anything when you work for a non-profit organization??? How long it takes to make a decision to buy anything because you fear how it will look. I know that I don't make a ton of money...compare it to any government job of the same nature, and it's not even comparable. Since I don't have a family to support it is decent. But people think since I work for The Salvation Army, I need to live in complete poverty...well right now I live in a room in a basement...all of my stuff crammed in the room. Fun times. And that truck...cheapest on the market...cheaper than most cars...the only perk is air conditioning...nothing fancy. I'm not trying to justify, because I don't need to, all I'm saying is that this purchase wasn't without the feeling of guilt and I don't need people like you to throw that in my face...There are very few people who I would take that comment from that I know would be a complete joke, but since I don't know who you are I will assume you aren't one of them and be ticked off...Just so ya know
Jer: Whoever wrote that comment about paying you so well, hopefully was joking, but I understand how upsetting it is. I've had lots of people over the years, say 'They must pay you well' People are always suspicious of where their money goes. All we have is our integrity. We know (as well as God)how much we are or aren't paid and what we do with our money. That's all that matters. I know how thankless the jobs are around the Army and how they get mixed up with volunteering and 'church responsibilities'. Anyways, enjoy that truck. I know you deserve it, you've work hard. RT
Sorry if that comment ticked you off, I was completely joking and planning on saying who I was. But seeing how upset you are I don't think I really want to say anymore. Sorry you got offended, I thought the winking smiley face would show you I was joking.
Sorry if I over reacted...I guess it's a sensitive subject, because a lot of people 'joke' about it, and it's just one of those things...so sorry...I promise I don't hate you...you can reveal yourself if you want...or email me and tell me. I've been under some stress lately and that just hit a sensitive area I guess, even though you were joking...sorry...
nice wheels bud...though you did buy a ford. Ha,ha,ha! Seriously though dude Congrats on the truck. Happy incredibly belated birthday by the way. You are a hard worker and when it is something you believe in you work even harder. So don't feel guilty about treating yourself from time to time. Hope everything is going well up there and hope to see you back here some time soon.
Sounds like you've got my tendency to react quickly to something not so nice, even if intended as a joke. Mind you, I also remember times where my joking went too far, regrettably.
Some things strike a sensitive chord in our hearts. I think you handled it all very well and I hope anonymous did email you so you could talk about it and work things out. Also something I don't always do very well.
I do agree with James, though. A Ford....even if my Grandfather was always a Ford man. But I love my Chevy!
nice ride. Now all you have to do is get some 24" spinner rims, put in hydrolics, slam it to the ground, don't forget the ghost lights, a custom grill and paint job, perhaps a bed cover, shave off the handles, put in suicide doors, a hood scoop, fender flares, ground effects, and I've definitely spent too much time with Richard today trying to pimp his ride. Anyway, that's awesome, have fun! alicia
I went to Columbia Bible College In Abbotsford, BC. I am now a support worker for people who have developmental disabilities. Also I have taken on a part time security job on a construction site. Extra money is nice!!

Nice wheels bro!
Wow! That's awesome! Somehow I never pictured you as a "truck" guy...but I think it works! Don't get into too much trouble with your big, bad wheels!
That's a funny looking toaster.
So that's where the money goes when I give money to the Christmas bell-shaking people. They sure pay you well, congrats.
Just curious who wrote the last comment...
I knew that last comment would get your attention!!! How badly do you really want to know ;)

Nice purchase! I just hope you talked it over with your sweet piano playing wife first.
